Dag 112 - Last cake. Xmas parade. Argentina.

- Today was the day of the days! It was the day we were going to do cake decorating for the last time. Ofc, it was fun to meet some new ppl and actually learning some new stuff, but Im sooo glad it all will be over after today! The last class we were going to decorate our own cakes. I made two (not so pretty ones) with green icing - cocoa flavour which was actually pretty amazing, so happy! Then we all said goodbye to each other. Im really going to miss 2 of the women we decorated with: Bernice and Darlene - two bigger, but oh so happy and cheerful african american women that were so nice and Im never gonna forget them!
- Then we had to wait sooo long in the cold for the bus home! After I got home, I went downtown to see everyone again. We were buying hot chocolate in the waiting for Chicago's annual Christmas Lights Parade. Oh, this was - for sure - the longest 2h I have waited my whole life... Why? It was below freezing. Luckely we had awesome standing places, but still, only after 15min the parade had started, it was enough for my african and french friends. So after like 45min my toes and fingers had gone through the "i cant feel my toes" -pain til the point were it felt like someone was smashing my toes with a hammer. Oh my god! and I thought I had felt it all (went to Iceland in January 2008,) but no. After me and Christin had been warmed up again in "Top Shop", we went out again to see the last, and most important person coming through the parade... of course Im talking about Santa Clause.
- After that we said goodbye to Christin, and me and the rest of the gang: Caroline, Dan and Kath went to a nice (but loud) sportsbar to warm ourselfs up (with alcohol). And then we went to the cousiest little restaurant with food from Argentina. It was expensive so Kath and I split chicken. After a while Julia came and joined us! yay! I had so much fun. And in the end we stole some uneaten dessert from the couple that have been sitting right next to us. All the 5 of us shared it haha! It was the funniest. Aaand my dear swedish followers, if you're wondering why Im writing in English is because Im so freakin' popular now that I have followers from all around the world (or not. Just writing so my new aupair friends can take part of my blog too.). Goodnight!
